You or your trusted mechanic must certify that the following items have been checked and made right if found deficient. Issuance of a tech sticker at the track in no way signifies that your car is safe to operate on the track.

REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT:
HELMET A proper fitting '95M SNELL or better helmet in good shape required. No exceptions. We have no loaners.
LONG SLEEVES, LONG PANTS are required, preferably of a natural material. Driver suit systems are highly recommended. Shoes must be solid and in reasonable condition.
SEATBELTS OEM seat belts, in good condition, are acceptable in all groups. Competition harnesses are recommended.
ROLL BAR meeting MCSCC GCR Appendix Z is required in all open cars. A car with a removable hardtop is an open car. Targa or T-top cars with solid roof panels fixed in place are closed cars. Show bars and pop-up bars in Boxsters, M-B, etc. do not usually meet specification Z. Visit www.mcscc.com for complete rollbar rules and specs.

BRAKES are the weakest link when a car is taken on the track. New stock pads can be severely worn in a day. Brake fluid will boil unless fresh and at least DOT 3 grade. Remove any accessory dust shields. Pedal must be high and firm.

BODY, WHEELS & TIRES, STEERING AND FRONT END
BODY No sharp-edged rust outs. Reasonable finish with no primer spots. Badly cracked windshield may not run.
WHEELS AND TIRES Remove decorative hubcaps. . All lug nuts must be present and torqued properly. Worn out, corded or deeply cut tires may not be run. Add 5-8 extra lbs of air in street tires.
STEERING AND FRONT END must be in good order. Check steering linkage, rod ends, ball joints, wheel bearings. They must be tight and to specification. Springs and shock absorbers must be in good condition.

ENGINE & DRIVE TRAIN
ENGINE AND DRIVE TRAIN must be in good repair. Check all fluid levels, belts, hoses. Tighten all caps. No leaks allowed. Be sure radiator is full and clean inside and out.
BATTERY must be secure. Check hold-down. Hot battery lead must be insulated.
NO LEAKS of any fluids, from anywhere on the car.

2. Approved helmet
3. Long sleeves and pants, solid shoes

4. Seat belts/harness in good condition




All other items are subject to spot check.
You must get off the track immediately if you encounter:

1. Brake failure
2. Leaking gas, oil or other fluids
3. Mechanical problem hampering car control or safety
